Special Olympics offers an opportunity for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, often for the first time in their lives, to participate in sports, discover their inner strength and self-worth, and to be part of their communities.
For athletes and their families everywhere, Special Olympics is an enduring symbol of hope. Special Olympics Rhode Island is proud to serve more than 2,700 athletes who participate in over 40 tournaments and competitions in 24 individual and team sports around the state.
