Basketball league play will begin
Wednesday, October
14, 2009 and
will continue every Wednesday through November 19th.
Below please find an information sheet and team registration form to
be completed and returned to SORI by
September 25th.
State Tournament will be held on
Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Providence College.

Duck-Pin Bowling

| Teams
interested in traditional bowling should begin training in
preparation for the State Duck-Pin Bowling Tournament to be held
November 7 & 8, 2009 at Town Hall Lanes in Johnston. Practice forms
should be returned by September 25th. Registration forms should
be returned by October 23, 2009.
2009 DUCK-PIN BOWLING SEASON
- Complete the
SEASON REGISTRATION FORM and return it to Casie at SORI
. It is important to return this form to gauge number of teams
for tournament and to assure all have medicals in.
- Complete the
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION FORM and return it to SORI.
- Athletes
competing in the tournament should arrive no earlier than 2:00pm
on Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday on the date of their
tournament. (see below)
SENIOR TOURNAMENT

JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
Sunday, November 8, 2009
- All bowlers
arriving on time will bowl 2 consecutive strings. All bowlers
arriving after the start of the tournament will only bowl 1
string and be awarded participant ribbons.
- Coaches who
have athletes using ramps must provide their own ramps for the
competition.
-
Bumpers are
not used during competition.
- Any coaches
instructing their athletes must wear bowling shoes while in the
lane area.
- All athletes
should be in proper athletic attire for a bowling competition:
Collared shirt, no jeans, and/or team warm-up uniforms.
DIRECTIONS TO TOWN
HALL LANES
From 295 North take exit 6 (Hartford Ave.) Take a
left off the exit onto Hartford Ave. Follow for approximately 1
mile. Take a right onto Atwood Ave. (Route 5) Bowling Alley is
approximately 200 yards on the left. From 295 South take exit 5/6
Providence Exit. Bear right onto 195. Take first exit. Take a left
at the end of the exit onto Atwood Ave. Bowling alley is ¼ mile on
your right.
